Default The Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic

This event is coming up just next month. March 22nd.

I had to go look up the whole history:
http:// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross_Country_Cycling_Classic

Approximately 145 mile long race. Last year it was finished in 5 hours 47 minutes 23 seconds by Boyd Johnson.

Their website is virtually empty, just guidelines for registration. I'm surprised it didn't include some photos, stats, etc from previous years...oh well...

Is this something that is televised or can you only hope for photos?

I have only found a couple of places where it's mentioned when I googled it...is it considered a pretty big deal amongst amateur cyclists? (a bit like Daytona and Nascar?) Or is this a small race of many?

I'm having some trouble with google tonight and couldn't open their website.

Isn't that in New Zealand? Do you make a point to watch it, or is it not as exhilerating to watch as it is to do your/our own riding?

This is coming up here shortly. Has anyone found anymore information to be had? I'm kind of interested in seeing it.

The race is on March 22nd.

Belize will be keeping track of it. http://lovefm.com/easter.php

I've found photos of the race from past years but not a note where it is specifically televised.

It must be hard to televise a XC race.

There are so many things I want to do. Did you ever watch the movie "The bucket list"? I haven't heard of any of these cycling events but the Belize looks nice.
