Default Biking in Europe

I don't know if I will make it to biking in Europe but it sounds like a great idea. Have any of you guys visit Europe and went biking? I heard that Vallee de Chevreuse was a great place to bike.

I have so many friends that have been biking across Europe. I want to go SO badly! Preferably before I get much older and my hips snap in a cloud of dust when bumped. *grin*
I think I'll actually make a plan to do this very soon. Are there any other location suggestions??

Check this out: http://www.biking-europe.com/

Can you imagine the spectacular views!

This is one of their suggested tours: http://www.randovelo.fr/randovelo/Ca...id=83&lang=eng

I've always wanted to see Switzerland:
Quote:
"Bienvenue/Willkommen/Benvenuto/Bainvegni" to Switzerland !

Switzerland, with 7.2 million people and 4 official languages !
A country which makes you dream about its diverse scenery, its high quality watches, its warm-hearted people…
Unique cities : Berne, Geneva, Zurich, Basle, Lausanne…
Unique scenery : Lake Constance, the Rhine and Rhône valleys, Lake Geneva, the Alps…
Unique sites : the Rhine falls at Schaffhausen, the Olympic museum in Lausanne, the Palace of the United Nations in Geneva…
Switzerland is also the country for chocolate and cheese.
A country to SAVOUR !

Spectacular views and chocolate...what could a girl ask for more?

Don't forget to hit the Damlmatian Coast. It is an incredible rush biking along the Adriatic Sea about a million miles up on a road that's 7'wide. Watch out for those tour buses!

You just brought back memories. I was in there in the mid 80s before everything was bombed out studying architecture . . . bike in tow. Hasn;t Split and Dubrovnik turned into biking meccas? I've heard that.

I guess I'll have to show my age too. I was there in the late 80s enjoying their 300% inflation for my dollars kept going. It was hard finding replacement and repair equipment. Did have to visit a doctor about my achilles heel. Surprisingly modern and adept (for a Communist country!)

I am planning to visit Europe in the next 1 to 2 years. I don't think you should put the trip off any longer.
